Terry Wilbur

Terrence Van Wilbur, 65, of Des Moines, WA passed away on September 3, 2021.

Terry was born on November 22, 1955 to Billy and Margaret Wilbur in Seattle. After graduating from Evergreen High School in 1974, he went on to become an electrician like his father. After graduation, he landed his first job as an electrician for IBEW Local 46 for 1975-2011. He later worked for Highline School District as a school bus driver until he retired in June of 2021.

In 1978, he met his beautiful wife and best friend, Jana Gronvold, and they wed in 1980, going on to have 4 children, Tera, Jeana, Brian, and Kevin. He also had 9 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

Terry was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of his children and grandchildren and always tried his best to support them.

Terry was also a passionate musician and could often be found playing his guitar. He played his guitar at church for many years and was even in an Irish band at one time. He also loved to play golf, go camping and work in his yard.

Anyone who knew Terry knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Terry was predeceased by his father Billy Wilbur and brother Bill Wilbur. He is survived by his mother Margaret Wilbur, his wife, Jana Wilbur, his siblings, 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
